PROFAESTEM will be a mentoring platform on mobile apps on Promoting Female Academic Excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) helping to streamline matching, management, engagement and in-depth reporting.

Development of a Mentoring Application With the advent of COVID-19, we don’t know when the next pandemic will emerge and with the socio-political crisis in the North west, Southwest and Northern regions of Cameroon, it is important to develop a mentoring app where mentors and mentees will interact easily to promote female academic excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in areas of excelling in their academics and research.

In order to support junior and early career female researchers in STEM, we will allow them to send requests to mentors through the app where they will be mentored. These requests will be visible in the candidate’s personal area/ portal and the candidates will be able to accept or reject them based on area of research in STEM.
